type='text'>People being used**Things being Loved

"A man was polishing his new car; his 4 yr old son picked up a stone & scratched on the side of the car. In anger, the furious Man took his child's hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father....with painful eyes he asked 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?' The man was so hurt and speechless. He went back to the car and kicked it many times. Devastated by his own actions... sitting in front of the car he looked at the scratches, His son had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'. Â Next day that man committed suicide...Anger and Love have no limits... Always remember..... " Things are to be used and people are to be loved " but
the problem in today's world is....
When Shahid Afridi walked out to bat for the first time in a one-day international, against Sri Lanka in Nairobi in 1996, the bat in his hands once belonged to someone who had played many memorable innings, and several of them against Pakistan. It had belonged to Sachin Tendulkar and found its way to Afridi via Waqar Younis, who said “it could prove lucky as it belonged to a great player”. It was lucky indeed for Afridi reeled off the fastest ODI century off 37 balls, a record that still stands.

“Waqar gave me the bat in Nairobi where I made my debut for Pakistan. He told me Tendulkar had given him the bat and asked him to make similar model bats from Sialkot,” Afridi told PTI. “That record [fastest hundred] still stands today and makes me proud. I also got other good scores with this particular bat so it is very valuable for me and I have no intention to auction it off to anyone.”

Forecaster says recession is almost over

April 30, 2009

Ali Velshi | Bio
CNN Chief Business Correspondent

One of America’s most reliable economic forecasters says the current recession – the longest in half a century - will end this year, possibly as early as this summer.

Lakshman Achuthan, Managing Director at the Economic Cycle Research Institute (ECRI), was one of the first to declare that the US was in a recession. Now he’s one of the first to say its ending. ECRI, he says, is the research group in the world that studies business cycle recessions and recoveries for a living, and has a near-perfect record of predicting. They do it by crunching various pieces of data and creating “leading indicators” which show where the economy is headed

The indicator that looks the furthest into the future actually started showing signs of future growth as early as last November, as the worst of the credit crisis started to ease. Another indicator, with a shorter lead-time into the future, started pointing toward growth in early December. Both indicators have showed steady growth since then and that, says Achuthan, is enough data for him to say this recession is ending. That’s because, over the last 75 years, when those indicators turn up, the recession ends within four months. No exceptions, says Achuthan.

Achuthan points out that these same indicators predicted the current recession, by turning downward BEFORE the recession began. Specifically, Achuthan notes, his leading indicators turned downward in Early June, 2007; the current recession “officially” began in December of that year. Because of that, Achuthan was able to announce that the US was in recession some NINE MONTHS before the National Bureau of Economic Research, which is the official arbiter of recessions, did.

But don’t buy the party supplies just yet. The end of a recession simply means that things will start becoming “less negative.” A top adviser to President Obama says the economy will again shrink in the 2nd quarter of this year – that’s the period we’re in now. But Achuthan declaration doesn’t really counter that – he doesn’t think recovery will start until the 3rd quarter – sometime after June.

But how do you have a recovery if job losses continue? The Labor Department says 6,300,000 people are now drawing unemployment benefits – that’s a record. And a number greater than that are unemployed but NOT collecting benefits, because their benefits have run out.

Achuthan worries that during a recession, we all become more productive, by working with less (we fill in when our colleagues are laid-off, for instance), and so you don’t need to hire all of those people back for the economy to recover. The danger of that is that many millions of people who have lost their jobs may not get them back in this economy – and that can create great disparity in society – “haves” who have more; “have nots” who have less.
(Source:http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2009/04/30/forecaster-says-recession-is-almost-over/)

Bikash Parajuli..Inventor of Plane-Danfe In Nepal

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; New regulations set by the immigration service have further complicated matters for the job-seeking students.

“The new immigration rules, the bad economy and the downturn in employment possibilities couldn’t come at a worse time for the international scholar,” she said.

One of these rules forces international students to find a job within 90 days of graduation; if they are unable to, they are required to return to their home countries, she said.

Because of the concerns voiced by students, a workshop was organized to focus on how international students can get jobs in the United States.

The workshop will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. today in the University Museum Auditorium in Faner Hall. Three speakers will talk to students about market trends and ways to explore their own strengths and skills, as well as give them tips on how to make themselves more marketable.

Naseem Ahmed, coordinator of educational programs and women and international development, helped plan the event.

“I felt that international students were feeling less confident and had a lot of concerns about whether they could land a job,” she said.

Ahmed said she asked Career Services if a representative could speak at the workshop about the skills needed for jobs, and locations where jobs might now be.

The other two speakers are career counselors in the development and resource clinic of the department of psychology. They will speak about more psychological aspects, she said, such as job stress and how people can sell themselves as a potential employees.

Ahmed said she hopes students can come away from the workshop with an idea of where they can go to ask further questions or set up an appointment to polish their interview skills.

Srilekha Achanta, a graduate student from India studying electrical and computer engineering, said the workshop could be a great help.

Students will leave the workshop with a better understanding of their own minds as well as current figures in the economy, she said.

She said many international students are making the decision to continue their education. They often choose to go to graduate school rather than face a difficult job search and the possibility of being forced to return home, she said.

Coppi said she tries to keep herself and the students optimistic. She said she encourages them to look at the things they have already accomplished, such as being courageous enough to leave their families and homes to attend school in the United States.

She said the job market will eventually improve for all students, but it is hard to know when the change will come.

“I believe that what goes down must come up,” she said. “I sure hope so, for all of our sakes.”

Source:DE, Carbondale,IL

marna baru

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
You want to make a good impression but you’re not sure what to do. You don’t know your coworkers yet – will they befriend you or make you do all the dirty work? Worst of all, your boss may try to take advantage of your inexperience. That’s why so many teens end up making little money in a job they hate.
Don’t let this happen to you! Read on for the lessons learned from these four real-life summer job horror stories.
“My job was super gross.”
“I worked at a pool last summer where my official title was "pool aide." … I had to clean up throw-up, sweep up smushed food, scrub toilets, stand at the bottom of the slides for hours – leading to my knee pains, wash out the showers, pull the hair out of the drains, listen to the complaints of parents who didn't think their un-potty-trained child needed a swim diaper, pick up dirty diapers in the bathrooms, and the best part; clean out the drains from the pool. You could find just about anything in there, from Band-Aids to G. I. Joes.” –Lauren D.
Other teen job seekers have told us about cleaning bug-infested offices, picking out rotten blueberries from the conveyor belt, inspecting sewer pipes and getting stuck in the middle of a summer camp food fight. Yuck.
Many teen jobs and summer jobs involve at least a few nasty tasks, whether cleaning restrooms or emptying trash. But if you want to avoid getting a job that’s truly gross, make sure you ask questions about what you’ll be doing before you take the job. If you suspect the manager’s not being honest, ask a current employee to tell you the real deal.

“My co-workers wouldn’t help me.”
“The sub shop was my first job and I was really excited to start working there. However, for the entirety of my first shift, I stood in the back not knowing what to do. Supposedly, I was supposed to be trained during my first shift, but nobody told me how to do anything. So I just stood in the back and watched as my co-workers made the sandwiches.
My next shift was a lunch shift, so I was sure I would be taught how to use things. But nope. I just had to get in there. My first sandwich was terrible... I didn't know what meats went where and I had no clue how to wrap a sandwich. I got yelled at for not doing things right… The manager was never there and my co-workers weren't cooperative at all. I got yelled at and laughed at for things I didn't know how to do.” –Vicky
This is a tough situation. An absent manager and rude coworkers are two big red flags. But here’s what you can do if you’re lost: take the initiative. Approach your friendliest coworker and ask him or her to show you the ropes. That way you have a mentor to turn to for help.

“I was afraid for my life.”
“It was a long, horrible summer… The area it was in, oh man, talk about busy. Busy with the kind of people that would hit their kids in the store, get in an argument with their boyfriend/girlfriend in front of others, busy with people buying bootleg movies from a creepy little short guy that would bad mouth me simply because of the way I dressed.
I had to be out in the sun for 6-8 hours in the scorching heat and I would sometimes get bad sunburn. Because of the area, I was always on alert, so I can be ready if anyone did a drive-by, tried to rob me, or kidnap. One day someone robbed the store and threatened to shoot; that was the last straw. I decided the little bit of extra cash was not worth the miserable heat, fear, and being aggravated all the time, so that day, I turned in my two weeks’ notice.” –Cora G.
If your instincts are screaming “Get out of here!” then you should listen. If you’re being harassed at work, if you feel unsafe or if the working conditions are affecting your health, you should talk to your boss about making a change or just quit.

“I got ripped off.”
“It was summer 2008. I decided to sign up for a job as a door-to-door salesperson. They brought me out to Pennsylvania, where they were currently located, by Greyhound. They had me stay out in a wonderful hotel. It was amazing. Only to figure out I would be walking the streets from 9 a.m-10 p.m. No breaks no lunch. Working on commission, which was only like 20% for each bottle you sold, with only one day off a week. My first pay check was $50.00. All I could afford to do is wash my clothes. After working 78 hours that week, I had only made a measly $50.00.” –Malaysia C.
Because they don’t have much work experience, teens are especially vulnerable to getting ripped off by unscrupulous employers. Be wary of advertisements for teen jobs or summer jobs involving door-to-door sales, work-at-home opportunities or money transfers. If it sounds too good to be true, it is! SnagAJob.com offers only reputable jobs, so start your summer job search now.

Password Problem?????

David calls the Help Desk to complain that there's something wrong with his password.
No, it's not the usual caps-lock problem.

"The problem is that whenever I type the password, it just shows stars," he says.

"Those asterisks are to protect you," the Help Desk technician explains,

"so if someone were standing behind you, they wouldn't be able to read your password."

"Yeah," he says,

"but they show up even when there is no one standing behind me."

Few Interesting Facts about Guitars

<img style="display:block; I can’t imagine anyone wanting to kill such an elegant creature. The very symbol of peace and tranquillity. Hope it will snow soon. I LOVE IT HERE.

DEC. 2 It snowed last night. Woke up to find everything blanketed in white. It looked like a postcard. Went outside and cleaned snow off the steps and shoveled the driveway. We had a snowball fight today (I won). When the snowplow came by we had to shovel the driveway again. What a beautiful place. Mother Nature in perfect harmony. I LOVE IT HERE.

DEC. 12 More snow last night. I love it. The snowplow did his trick again that rascal). A winter wonderland. I LOVE IT HERE.

DEC.. 19 Snowed again last night. Couldn’t get out of the driveway to get to work this time. I'm exhausted from shoveling. Damn Snowplow!

DEC. 22 More of that white sh*t fell last night. I've got blisters on my hands from shoveling. I think the snowplow hides around the corner and waits until I'm done shoveling. That *!&%!!!

DEC. 25 "White Christmas" my busted *ss. More snow. If I ever get my hands on that son-of-a-(*%)! who drives that snowplow, I swear I will c*str*te the dumb bastard. Don't know why they don't use more salt on this freaking ice.

DEC. 28 More of the same sh*t last night. Been inside since Christmas day except for when "Snowplow Harry" comes by. Can't go anywhere. The car is buried in a mountain of white sh*t.. The weatherman says expect another 10 inches of this sh*t tonight. Do you know how many shovels full of snow 10 inches is?

JAN. 1 Happy freaking New Year!. The weatherman was wrong (AGAIN). We got 34 inches of snow this time. At this rate it won’t melt until the 4th of July. The snowplow got stuck down the road and sh*t for brains had the balls to come to the door and ask to borrow my shovel. I told him I broke 6 shovels already, shoveling out the sh*t he plowed into my driveway. I broke the 7th shovel over his head.

JAN. 4 Finally got out of the house today. Went to the store to get food and on the way back a deer ran out in front of the car and I hit the damn *#! deer. Did about $3,000.00 damage to the car. Wish the hunters would have killed them all last November.

MAY 3 Took the car to the garage in town today. Would you believe the body is rotting away from all the salt they keep dumping all over the roads. It really looks like a piece of sh*t.

MAY 10 Moved to Florida today. I can’t imagine why anyone in their right mind would want to live in the God forsaken State of Massachusetts.
(Not by me)

Why Deependra can not be killer?

(Collected from Past Papers and nepalisociety.com)
The present belief of the public to support this argument is as follows; however, no any international news is covering this version of public thinking.

1. On Friday he was at fresh and exciting mood while he visited the sports complex at Satdobato till 5:00 PM. He has encouraged the officials for the good work, and promised to come the next day 2 hour before the official time. No body has felt any kind of stress and abnormality at that evening with Deependra.

2. The firing is done so severely that, the body of queen is divided to 2 piece. Her face and head was completely damaged. So there was mask instead of her face and head. Nirajan is believed to have 30 to 40 bullets while trying to save his father king birendra. The bullet is shot at central front pallet (nidhar ko tika lagaune thau najikai) to king Birendra, and almost other member's head.
This indicate the shooter is professional sharp shooter.

3. The number of bullet fired is in such a huge quantity, that a single person can not solely fire so many bullet in such a short period where no other guards could protect that incident.

4. Deependra has several bullets (around 30) on his backside, some penetrating his liver and lung, rather than his head (where suisider is believed to shot self). People think, Deependra tried to escape from the incident but finally attacked to sever injury.

5. The body of Shanti Singh was found on garden rather than the dinner room, so there may be chances of killing running after them who tried to escape.

6. Deependra has left the dinner room around 7:30, when he came back around 9:30, all other were killed already, he tried to escape, but he was shot dead. That is why he has many bullets on his back.

7. Dhirendra is not holding the royal post. In that evening, even Dhirendra was attending the dinner, why Gyanendra was absent?

8. The first person to come out from the palace after the incident was Paras, who also attended the dinner, but has no single hurt, how that happened?

9. In the beginning, Paras was said staying out of country, but later, not attending the dinner but in Soaltee Casino, some said not in Soaltee, but in Babylone Discotheque, later confirmed to be present
in the dinner. Why so many different information circulated?

10. In that evening, 10 cooks and several other Royal worker were serving the dinner program, where they have gone? No single cook has returned to their home, neither they had made telephone call to their family members.

11. Several famous doctors, including Dr. Upendra Devkota, were taken to Chhauni Barek, but they are not making any communication to family members. Are the doctors also in danger of another round of massacre?

12. Several Royal army official has not come to home since Friday and has not informed to their families. If the families make inquiries, then the reply is that, they are send to foreign countries for
treatment. Now the family members are worrying about the massacre of these army officials too, including ADCs of dead Royal members.

13. One helicopter has flied from Palace on Friday night around 10:30 PM straight very high and then went to unknown direction with all light off. The people had seen and heard the sound of that, where that helicopter has gone, and who was inside that?

14. Several public people has heard about the incident around 10:00 - 10:30 PM of Friday night, but the prime-minister Girija was informed about this only at 1:30 AM (some 4 - 5 hours later than the accident), why?

15. No postmortem was conducted on the dead royal bodies, why? The government had taken VICERA for investigation, while Madan Bhandari was dead. Why they did not do this for king and his family?

16. Why funeral process is conducted immediately, they poured water from tanker to flow cleaner water in Bagmati, and the structures were made temporarily.

17. Even the dead bodies were not handled with respect. There was no body to remove flies on the face of king. The dead body were kept on open ground without any arrangement. Whereas, the dead body of Babuchiri Sherpa was well protected and kept open for public respect for 5 days.

18. Why none of the foreign state heads and their representatives were allowed to take part? Even the notice for the higher governmental officers were issued very stupidly. The notice to attend at 3:00 PM the funeral spot with specified dresses was issued only at 3:10. Is is possible to reach at the spot at 3:00 hearing the notice at 3:10? Has every higher officers prepared the funeral dresses before the notice? otherwise how they could reach to the funeral spot immediately with specified dress?

19. Why the number of bullets were not allowed to count from the dead bodies of royal members?

20. Royal members are engaged with more than one women since long ahead, and that is not assumed as a critical issue. They can keep many wives in the form of Lyaite, byaite etc. So one external women can not be cause to death of dozens of very very important members of family and nation.

21. None of nepali has heard the fantastic story of love affairs of Deependra, but now the famous news agencies are trying to blame Divyani Rana as the cause of Royal members' massacre. Who has thought about her personal life afterward?

22. Why Dr. Rajeeb Shahi and Helen Shah are silent on these issue? It is heard that army official denied to conduct investigation, when senior police officer has proposed for that on Saturday, why?

23. Why all the international news agencies are displaying the photograph of mustachioed Deependra (with his darhi), to make an impression of bad person?

24. On the funeral of Birendra and Aisworya, Paras was not quite. His hand, foot, mouth was moving in some special ways, and many people has tried to describe ideas in his brain at that moment. Can someone behave in such a way, while his almost all family members were murdered? Can a person, who has seen the live death of several family members, with flow of blood from the all parts of body in a single room and their pain, grief movement etc, stand in such a smily and fresh manner to the public?

25. Deependra had not taken alcohol on Friday evening. He never takes alcohol when he joins the dinner program with his father. He is well-known for his super respect to his father. How such person can kill his parents?

26. Deependra is black belt in Marshal arts. Nirajan is also good sports man (gold medalist in national swimming contest). They are expected to have very strong physics than Paras, but the paras, who is weakest in physics, could save him with so-called heroic tricks. That is possible only in Indian movies, not in real life.

SABAI LAI CHETANA BHAYA..............

more than 75% are unmarried!

… due to lack of electricity in the village !

Are we going in the same direction. 16 hours of load-shedding in Nepal is taking its toll in every sectors in daily lives. There was protest from electric vehicles (Safa Tempoos), that needs an average of 18 hours to get fully charged. Other sectors like hospitals, TV channels are widely covered in news medias. Some are even demanding for load-shedding free zones. But given the situation not even a tint of silver lining can be seen.

Well, let me continue the story I started with:

The youths in a small village some 20 kms from the capital of Indian province, Uttar Pradesh, can’t find brides willing to marry them all because they don’t have electricity in the village.

“An exercise to electrify the village was initiated in 1973 and electric poles were erected with power lines. But power supply was snapped after some years due to reasons unknown to us. There are only seven poles left now in the village,” said one of the villagers. But think seriously and sincerely. It is really hard to be honest and sometimes it hurts a lot. Everybody wishes to be nice. But sometimes situation may come that we can’t be honest and nice at the same time. We want to be nice always in any charge. That’s a reason why we can’t be honest every time. I don’t believe that all truths are malicious but I know some are cruel. I guess that’s why we pretend to be good without revealing the truth.

Sometime we try not to be truthful thinking good for other. We pretend to be guilty to please or entertain others and I think this is wrong. I have always tried to be completely honest. Many times I have felt that my integrity screwed up everything. Seriously, honesty is a good quality that should be in every human being. But some truth hurts so much as mirror never lies. Honesty may harm things you love and want. It hurts more deeply in relationships. In this case only truth may be the cleanest and surest path to the solutions.

It may be difficult to maintain honesty in our life but our honesty protects us always. Honesty is giving your word and keeping it and one day it will be rewarded. In each take off the plane hovered for one minute and traveled the distance of 1 and half kilometer. The plane is capable of flying for two hours maintaining the height of 6,000 feet at the speed of 100 kilometer per hour.

Danfe was created at the expenditure of Rs. 1 million. The plane has 10-meter long wings and consists of two comfortable seats. The engine is attached at the rear part while fuel tank in below the seat. It is equipped with three wheels.

According to creators, Danfe’s engine is of Austrian technology while Nepali technology and local devices have also been used.

Sinkemana and Parajuli in 2006 started their work on the plane by forming seven-member Danfe Aircraft Fabrication Group.

The Pokhara airport was crowded with enthusiastic onlookers. The creators said that the Danfe’s successful test flight had encouraged them.

NEW Nepal..( Small Clip)

Thanks to him who made this documentary.

Overview of NEW NEPAL

Until Nepal became a republic in May 2008, it had been ruled by monarchs or a ruling family for most of its modern history in relative isolation.
A brief experiment with multi-party politics in 1959 ended with King Mahendra suspending parliament and taking sole charge in 1962.

Democratic politics was introduced in 1991 after popular protests, but was marked by frequent changes of government. The last king of Nepal, Gyanendra, twice assumed executive powers - in 2002 and 2005.

Maoist rebels waged a decade-long campaign against the monarchy, leaving more than 12,000 people dead and 100,000 people displaced according to UN figures.

When King Gyanendra's direct rule ended under public pressure in April 2006, the rebels entered talks with the parliamentary government on how to end the civil war.

A peace deal was agreed in November, although the Maoists continued to press for abolition of the monarchy.

Parliament agreed to the condition in December 2007, and the Maoists emerged as the largest parliamentary party after elections in April 2008.

The monarchy was abolished a month later, and a Maoist-dominated government took office in August.

Nepal has been at odds with neighbouring Bhutan over the repatriation of thousands of Bhutanese refugees of Nepalese descent who fled violence in Bhutan in the early 1990s.

Nepal has the flourishing tourism industry, but faces problems of deforestation and encroachment on animal habitats.

Most of the population depend on agriculture, and the UN estimates that about 40% of Nepalis live in poverty.

Foreign aid is vital to the economy, and Nepal is also heavily dependent on trade with neighbouring India.

(source: BBC News)

Dangerous Roads!!!!

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px;
